“What really happened…”

“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.”

— J.K. Rowling

Transition has been a constant in my life for the past few months. It seems that the moment I pass through one, I’m transitioning to another piece of unexpected life. Some of you may be good with change, me on the other hand, am not. At all. Actually, I’m pretty sure I am the worst at it. I don’t run for much, but I do run away from Change.

Life is inevitably full of change. What actually happened to me was the Fear of Change.

“My Fear of Change paralyzed me emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.”

The “what if” scenarios that played out in the mind became debilitating. I couldn’t sleep which caused a collapse in my ability to translate information and communicate properly. I was spiraling.

I don’t know about you, but I realized there is no book, magazine, webinar, seminar or article that could have prepared me the emotional journey of starting a business. That being said, I also found that being an entrepreneur is one of the most rewarding, and thoroughly exciting endevours I have ever pursued.

The past two years have been the most difficult, but yet most rewarded ones of my life. If I could sum it, it would be this:

“Change will present two options,

  1. Fear of your future
  2. Opportunity for your future

The choice is Yours. It will always be yours. Own it.”

Today I choose a better future. Change has given me a beautiful gift, and it’s called opportunity. This gift allows me to fail, grow, learn and accept grace in the midst of it all. As I reflect on the past, I now look towards the future, and the adventure beginning with The Art Of Elegance.

  1. God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and his ways are not out ways.
God also works in multiples he multipled the fish and the bread. You are such a giving person he is just multiplying what you gave him. I hate change also. But I do not run from it anymore. I only see new doors new opportunities to learn more about who God is making me to be. May God continue to use you to bring encouragement love and kindness to a Selfie world. We need each other.
